Ângela Salgueiro
She holds a PhD in History from NOVA FCSH (specialising in Contemporary History) and is an integrated researcher at the Institute of Contemporary History (IHC-University of Évora/NOVA FCSH) and the associated laboratory IN2PAST. She was a postdoctoral fellow in History and Philosophy of Science at the University of Évora (2017-19), and since 2019 she has worked with the ROSSIO Infrastructure – Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities. Her main fields of research are Contemporary History, Economic History, Digital Humanities and History and Philosophy of Science, with particular focus on issues related to the internationalisation of science and scientific internationalism, scientific spaces and actors, science policy and scientific institutionalisation practices. She has taken part in several national and international research projects, including “História da Ordem dos Engenheiros” (2006), “História do Instituto Camões” (2007-2009), “História da Ciência Viva” (2015-2016) and “Dinámicas de renovación educativa y científica en las aulas de bachillerato (1900-1936): una perspectiva ibérica” (2015-2018). She is the co-author of the following books: Ciência, Cultura e Língua em Portugal no século XX (2012) and Em Nome da Ciência. Ciência Viva – ANTT (2017). In 2016, she was awarded the Fundação Mário Soares – EDP Prize for her doctoral thesis entitled Ciência e Universidade na I República, published by Caleidoscópio in 2018.
