A researcher at the Institute of Contemporary History (Universidade Nova de Lisboa; Universidade de Évora, UÉ), where he is head of the History of Science, Technology and Environment research group (HCTA-UÉ). He holds a PhD in History and Philosophy of Science from the University of Évora and is engaged in research on the scientific-institutional history of Portugal during the inter-war and post-World War II periods, from a comparative and transnational perspective.
